Git is a version control system that is particularly useful in collaborative coding. Since its creation in 2005, it became the standard way for developers and programmers to work together, as one can see in the popularity of websites like GitHub. It is also useful for technical writing in LaTeX, whether collaborative or not. With Git, you do not need to store several different versions of a file in order to have version control of your projects. It also makes much easier the reviewing process of your projects and it allows parallel development through its branch feature, which makes it perfect for working with others. Finally, Git is very easy to use! Our objective in this talk is to introduce Git and how to use it in a LaTeX-focused workflow. No coding experience will be necessary.
